About Us
In 2020-21, over 350 students are pursuing higher education across departments. Mayura Bhavan, located at the heart of the campus, shelters the administration section, A function hall, 16 Lecture halls and 27 faculty rooms. A well equipped computer lab and a fully functional library in the campus equipped with over 33,000 Books cater to the academic needs of students and faculty members. The campus also has LCD projectors, a geology museum and 6 mineral processing laboratories.
The campus also has a well equipped Tungabhadra boys’ hostel which can accomodate 112 PG students and 16 Ph.D scholars. The campus also houses a designated SC/ST Boys’ Hostel, Working Women’s Hostel, a spacious Girls’ Hostel and an expansive Guest House – complete with lounge, dining hall and comfortable rooms. Well furnished Staff Quarters also cater to the housing needs of teaching and non teaching staff.
Academic Achievements
The fact that all the departments have consistently recorded 100% results in academics stands as a testimony to the academic excellence of the institution. The students of PG centre are also encouraged to participate in sports, inter University tournaments and extra-curricular activities and have brought many laurels to the institution. M.Y. Ghorpade stadium, a scenic beauty amidst rich greenery, is a treat for sports enthusiasts.
Overall, the campus has good infrastructure to accommodate 500 students and also provides excellent sources for learning and research. Secluded from the worldly disturbance, this campus is tailor made for dedicated academic work.
Projects
Projects under MLA Grant
Many infrastructure projects have been completed with the assistance of MLA Grant. An all weather surfaced road which connects the campus to Nandihalli cross, A new library building, Separate toilet blocks for men and women, Development of the stadium are some of the completed projects.
A Girls’ Hostel for 100 students, Smart class rooms, Auditorium, Renovation of Hostel, Staff Quarters and PG centre building are currently ongoing projects nearing completion.
Projects under CSR Grant
projects under CSR Grant include construction of compound wall around Tungabhadra Boys’ hostel, installation of Generator set, Centralised Overhead water tank of 2 Lakh Litres capacity and 2 Bore wells.
